Brich – Grote Auction is a family-run business that covers all your auction needs – farm land, acreages , commercial, estates, home and household sales, antiques, gun sales, and more.
Brich Real Estate and Auction Company started with this great man. Bill Brich was born and raibric-bill-gifsed in the Neola/Minden area. He married Rosemary Christiansen in 1960 and together they raised six children – Scott, Kathy, Chris, Mickey, Nancy, and Kevin. Bill’s auction business started out in 1975, going full-time in 1981, always supported by his wife Rosie working by his side and many of his children and grandchildren. Bill was tragically killed on his farm on June 20, 2011 in a tractor accident.
Rick Grote started working as a clerk with Brich Auction Company in 1996. Not only did Rick work for Bill, but they were long-time neighbors and friends. Bill encouraged Rick to attend auctioneer school and get his real estate license, which Rick did in 2000. Like Bill, Rick had a passion for getting to know people.
In 2003 Bill and Rick became partners in what became known as Brich – Grote Auction Service. Bill’s leadership and people skills brought the company to high standards. Much was learned by Rick from a great man, and the respect and admiration for Bill will never fade. The tradition carries on…with Rick’s oldest son Dean Grote attending auctioneer school in February 2011.

Auctioneer – Consignment Equipment for Website (one piece or multiple pieces)
After helping at auctions with Bill and dad (Rick) for several years, Dean attended and graduated from the World Wide College of Auctioneering in February 2011. Much like farming, Dean enjoys being able to call auctions alongside his dad, and enjoys using his talents to help people in need and organizations within his community when time allows. Dean has a passion and love for meeting people, talking to people, and learning their story. Dean will be the next Grote to continue the Grote farm, raising cattle, and calling auctions.
